Ireland Events 2027: Festivals, Concerts & Campervan Travel Guide

Last checked: 10 October 2026.

Retro Camper Hire offers campervan hire throughout the year, January to December, subject to availability. Whether you are travelling for a winter concert, a spring sporting event or a summer festival, you can explore our fleet and check your preferred dates. Planning an Ireland campervan trip around a festival, concert or big sporting occasion in 2027? This calendar brings together a selection of 2027 event listings; confirm all dates with organisers before booking from organisers, promoters, official ticket sellers and tourism bodies, plus the Republic of Ireland’s public holidays.

Browse by month, then use each event’s link to check its latest programme and ticket arrangements. This is a travel-planning selection, not an exhaustive list of every event in Ireland. More 2027 announcements are still to come, and events without verified dates are listed separately below. Northern Ireland locations are clearly marked.

Plan three separate bookings: your event ticket, your campervan hire, and an authorised overnight pitch or festival campervan pass. A hire booking does not include festival admission, parking or a campsite.

November, December and New Year 2027

Christmas markets, winter festivals and celebrations welcoming 2028 are still to be added when their organisers publish verified dates. A 2026 Christmas programme or an event welcoming 2027 belongs to a different travel period, so we have not relabelled those listings as late-2027 events.

For a winter campervan break, check vehicle availability and campsite opening dates with us before building an itinerary. Christmas Day falls on Saturday 25 December, St Stephen’s Day on Sunday 26 December and New Year’s Eve on Friday 31 December 2027.

Events awaiting confirmed 2027 dates

These are planning leads only. They are not confirmed 2027 bookings or a promise that the event will take place.

  • Forbidden Fruit — Dublin. The official information reviewed still relates to 2026.

  • Longitude — Dublin. No confirmed 2027 dates were found in the official information reviewed.

  • Sea Sessions — Bundoran, Co. Donegal. The organiser’s pages reviewed still show earlier editions; do not carry those dates or camping rules into 2027.

  • Guinness Cork Jazz Festival — Cork. The published programme reviewed is for 2026; the 2027 October bank holiday does not by itself confirm festival dates.

  • Wexford Festival Opera — Wexford. The official programme reviewed is for October 2026; 2027 dates are still awaiting confirmation here.

  • Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival — Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal. The organiser is seeking support for the festival’s future. We have not treated an older 2027 ticket listing as a confirmed event.

  • Wednesday 17 March: St Patrick’s Day.
  • Monday 29 March: Easter Monday.

Sources: 2027 Ireland holiday calendar and Workplace Relations Commission public-holiday guidance. Easter Sunday is 28 March; Good Friday, 26 March, is not a Republic of Ireland public holiday. Opening hours and Christmas bank closures can differ from the public-holiday dates.

Northern Ireland has a different bank-holiday calendar. Check the official UK bank-holiday dates when planning Belfast events or a cross-border trip.

Plan your festival or event campervan trip

Start with our campervan hire Dublin guide for departure planning, our Dublin collection information if you are flying in, and our Ireland touring guide to build a longer route around your event.

  1. Confirm your event first. Check the correct year, date, venue, age rules and current ticket availability. A published event date does not mean tickets remain available.

  2. Match the vehicle to your group. Our fleet has campervans with different sleeping layouts and facilities. Compare the current vehicle specifications before choosing.

  3. Reserve the right overnight space. Ask the organiser whether your vehicle needs a separate campervan pass, what dimensions are accepted, and when arrivals and departures are permitted. For city concerts, rugby and running events, arrange an authorised campsite or overnight stop and transport to the venue.

  4. Allow time around the event. Include collection, the drive to your pitch, queues and a rested return journey. Check road closures and avoid assuming that ordinary daytime parking permits overnight stays.

  5. Check Northern Ireland and winter plans with us. Confirm travel arrangements for Belfast events and seasonal availability before booking linked tickets or pitches.

Ready to put your dates together? Check campervan availability and rental prices, or use our 2027 Ireland road-trip guide to plan the days before and after your event.
