Doolin Writers’ Weekend 2027: Words, Waves and a Clare Escape

15–17 January 2027 · Hotel Doolin, Co. Clare

Give your January a different kind of weekend: a literary gathering in Doolin, followed by time beside the Atlantic. Doolin Writers’ Weekend is a chance to build a short break around stories and conversation in one of Clare’s best-known coastal villages.

Make it a road trip

Stay a little longer to explore the Burren and the Clare coast at an unhurried pace. Keep winter walks flexible, choose daylight driving and check weather conditions before heading onto exposed coastal paths.

Plan your event stay

Winter campsite opening and campervan availability need checking before you reserve event tickets. Ask us about your exact dates and choose an authorised overnight stop.

Find your campervan for 2027

Turn the event into a break that suits you. Compare Retro Camper Hire’s campervans and choose the layout and facilities for your group. Check campervan dates and prices, or ask us about your trip before finalising tickets and your overnight pitch.

Plan your journey from our Dublin campervan hire base, or use our Ireland touring guide to build a longer road trip around the event.

Hire availability depends on your dates. Event admission, campsite pitches and any event vehicle passes are booked separately and are not included in campervan hire.
