John McFadden Festival 2027: A Traditional Music Break in Newport

29–31 January 2027 · Newport, Co. Mayo

Bring a love of traditional music to Newport for Féile Sheáin Mhic Pháidín. The John McFadden Festival celebrates the town’s musical heritage and makes a warm-hearted focus for a Mayo trip around the February public-holiday weekend.

Make it a road trip

Use Newport as the starting point for time around Clew Bay. Westport can form another stop, while coastal drives and short walks can be fitted around the programme and the winter weather.

Plan your event stay

The dates are published by Discover Ireland. Check the organiser’s final sessions and performances, along with winter campsite opening, before committing to the journey.

Find your campervan for 2027

Turn the event into a break that suits you. Compare Retro Camper Hire’s campervans and choose the layout and facilities for your group. Check campervan dates and prices, or ask us about your trip before finalising tickets and your overnight pitch.

Plan your journey from our Dublin campervan hire base, or use our Ireland touring guide to build a longer road trip around the event.

Hire availability depends on your dates. Event admission, campsite pitches and any event vehicle passes are booked separately and are not included in campervan hire.
